Uncover your inner harmony with mindfulness this November

5 weeks to peace and calm

If you’re stuck in worry and anxiety and ready to discover your own inner harmony then this 5 week, group programme is for you.

When this course is finished you will feel at ease and in tune with your mind, body and soul so you can boldly claim the life YOU want to live.

Do you often find yourself thinking and feeling:

  • “I’m not ready to do that - what if I fail?”

  • “I’m not really good enough to do this”

  • “I’m letting people down by not always helping and supporting friends and family first.”

  • “I’ve just got too much to do - it’s so overwhelming.”

  • Like you’re trapped in a cycle of worry and stress about the future and the way life is taking you?

  • Like you don’t know who you are anymore?

No wonder you’re feeling anxious, fatigued and exhausted - you deserve to break free from these thoughts and feelings that are keeping you stuck.

You know you need to do something.

You may have tried to think more positively, started a fitness regime and changed your diet, but nothing seems to have worked.

It’s not your fault. Everybody has unhelpful thoughts, worries about the future and can doubt themselves and their ability, it’s just that some people experience it more.

What’s important is that you can do something about it.

This 5 week course is taking the next step for you to:

  • Take more control of your life.

  • Regain that feeling of joy and happiness in your life

  • Become more mentally resilient to the challenges life throws at you.

  • Leave behind feelings of stress, worry and anxiety

  • Be more empowered to lead the life you want to.

Why this course?

These 5 weeks will offer you a safe and supportive space to learn how to take charge of your life again by using powerful mindfulness tools and practices, that will help you to feel like your best self again.

You will be supported by me, Melisa, an experienced practitioner and teacher who knows how you are feeling because I have used mindfulness to support my recovery from illness, reduce anxiety and stop negative thoughts from taking over my life.

Feedback from my last mindfulness course

“I enjoyed the sessions very much and found them all enlightening with different pointers in each. It has a gentle approach with a mix of theory and practice, thank you.”

“The self-reflection questions were probing and have enabled me to become more aware of habitual ways of being. Overall, it was an excellent session.” RC

How you can make the changes you want and need

Week 1 – Living in the present moment

We look at the core mindfulness tools that will show you how to focus on the present moment, start to become more conscious of your thoughts and to feel present in what you are doing so you are not worrying about the past or future.

You will learn how using the power of the breath and briefly pausing in life can help us to catch ourselves and perhaps see things in a different light.

You will learn how quieten negative thoughts and to stop them before they head into a negative downward spiral.

Week 2 – Uncovering the authentic you

We ask ourselves some questions to see just how aware you are of who you are and what you are feeling. This is then put to the test as we explore what our body is telling us and explore the reasons for the possible differences.

You will look at different ways to help you to find answers to worries or problems you face. These are powerful and exciting practices as you discover that your mind and your heart may give you 2 different answers. You will find yourself empowered to make the most appropriate choices for you

Week 3 – Meeting your Inner Critic

Another week of discovery as you discover what your Inner Critic is leading you to believe about yourself.

You will look at any self-limiting beliefs you hold about yourself that may be stopping you from being your best self or achieving your goals.

You will learn techniques to recognise feelings as they arise and how to treat these with compassion.

It is an empowering practice as you learn how to disassociate yourself from thoughts which are just thoughts and unlikely to be based on facts.

Week 4 – Treating yourself with compassion

Building on week 3, we will look at how you treat yourself compared to others, practice how you can start to treat yourself with greater kindness and start to be more compassionate to those around you.

Week 5 – Finding your Inner Harmony

We will look at building more peace and harmony in your life with meditation and gratitude practices.

We will look at practices to enable you will recognise what you do have in life, your unique personal qualities, your values and achievements, to help you to identify what inner harmony and peace means for you so you can be your best and happiest self in your life right now.

Here’s the difference.

Dipping into Nature’s bountiful support …

As a herbalist and Naturopath, I know from both my study and personal experience that the natural world offers us a treasure trove of ways to support our troubled minds and feelings of anxiety.

As well as looking at the ways we can train our minds to disassociate from unhelpful thoughts and how we can use practices to dispel negative beliefs, I will also show you natural ways you can further support yourself whilst you develop your practice, or you will find useful for those challenging life experiences we all face from time to time.

We will explore:

  • Bach flower remedies and how they can help with circulating thoughts, feelings of despondency, fear, panic and stress.

  • Herbal remedies – herbs that can uplift your mood, help you to feel more balanced and support sleep.

  • Nutritional supplements and foods that can calm and soothe the nervous system and help to support sleep.

More feedback from my last mindfulness course:

“All content relevant & well researched. Good practical exercises. Very personable & knowledgeable Presenter”. JC

“The 3-minute breathing practice at the start of the session, was really good, especially as my head was feeling very much like the weather - soggy and foggy. It was perfect tonic” JS

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. How long is each session?

Each session lasts 1.5 hours

Q2. What happens if I miss a session?

Each session will be recorded and the recording will be sent to all participants the next day, so you can listen to the playback at your leisure.

Q3. What happens between sessions?

Practice is key to Mindfulness and Meditation practice, so it is recommended you take some time each day, if possible, to practice.

Q4. What if I don’t have the time to practice?

Everyone leads very busy lives these days, but the beauty of mindfulness practices is that they can be built into your everyday activities e.g. mindfully being present loading the washing machine, taking a quick 2 minute breathing exercise break between phone calls.

We will discuss strategies to incorporate the practices into your busy life as part of the course.

Q5. Does Mindfulness work?

There has been a significant amount of scientific research into the benefits of Mindfulness and Meditation, which show it to be very effective for increasing feelings of wellbeing, reducing anxiety, stress and improving sleep.

These outcomes are based on practice and with everything in life, you get out of the practice what you put in, so I encourage students to practice as much as they can.

More information on Mindfulness and details of the research can be found in my blog, How mindfulness could transform your CFS recovery.

Q6. What if the course isn’t right for me?

You have the right to cancel and receive a refund within 14 days of signing up for the course.

If after joining the course, you decide the course isn’t right for you, I will be happy to refund your course fee minus the cost of the sessions you have taken part in and/or received the recording and course materials.
